Vishnu R Kumar is a documentary filmmaker, cinematographer, and editor whose work explores the intersections of love, reconciliation, and social justice - often through stories grounded in lived experience and cultural complexity.​Originally from Kerala, India, he grew up between the vibrant rhythms of the South and the evolving pulse of urban life. A background in International Relations, followed by a postgraduate degree in Documentary Filmmaking from the University of the Arts London, shaped his deep interest in storytelling that bridges both academic insight and emotional truth.​He is currently based in London, where he works across film, photography, and digital media to amplify underrepresented voices and reimagine narratives from the Global South. His recent film, In Search of a Rainbow, which follows the lives of interfaith and inter-caste couples in India, was longlisted for the 2025 One World Media Awards and is now being developed into a feature-length documentary.
