SOUND MIXER / SOUND RECORDIST

Experienced Sound Mixer and Sound Recordist with 35+ years’ experience working across television and film, including documentary, factual, current affairs, reality, travel, drama and feature film.

I began my career in 1989, working extensively across documentary and drama before taking a nine-year career break to bring up my adopted son. I returned to the industry in 2021 and have since worked on EastEnders as Sound Assistant, and as Sound Mixer on Doctors and Hollyoaks. I have also recently worked as Boom Operator on Amazon’s Dinner with the Parents.

My earlier factual and documentary credits include Dispatches for Channel 4, Empire of the Seas for the BBC with Dan Snow, and Treks in a Wild World and the Lonely Planet Guide to the Ivory Coast, both for Pilot Productions. Treks in a Wild World featured Bradley Cooper early in his career, while the Lonely Planet production was made with Megan McCormick.

I have also worked as Sound Mixer on the feature films The Pinocchio Effect and Lad, a Yorkshire Story.

I am now looking to return to documentary, factual, current affairs, news, travel and reality production, bringing extensive experience and my own professional location sound package.

I am comfortable working with contributors, presenters and talent in demanding and unpredictable environments, and pride myself on being discreet, reliable, adaptable and easy to work with. My background in drama means I am used to working quickly and unobtrusively alongside directors, producers and camera crews while maintaining consistently high-quality sound.
