SUMMARY
I was born in 1985 in Sondrio, a town in the Lombardy Alps.
In 2008 I move to Barcelona, where I attend sound production classes given by sound recordist Alejandro Castillo at the Documentaries Production course at La Case del Cine/Observatorio de Cine.
In 2012 I graduate in a two-year Sound Production and Post- Production course at Civica Scuola di Cinema Luchino Visconti, Milano. In April 2013 I work along with Paolo Benvenuti and Simone Olivero as sound recordist on the set of "I Corpi Estranei", feature film directed by Mirko Locatelli, showcased at Rome International Film Festival.
After working on several short-films and commercials, I'm hired as production sound recordist for the documentary film "Il Rumore della Memoria" directed by Marco Bechis.
In 2017 I work on the set of "Isabelle", the third feature film by Mirko Locatelli, starring Ariane Ascaride and Robinson Stévenin.
In 2018 I collaborate as sound recordist on "The Disappearence of My Mother", documentary film by Beniamino Barrese, presented at the Sundance Film Festival.
Between 2020 and 2023 I work on the set of the documentaries "Il Fronte Interno" produced by Frenesy Film, “Sconosciuti Puri” and the feature films "3/19" by Silvio Soldini, “L'Invenzione della Neve” and “Luce”, competing at Locarno Film Festival Concorso Internazionale.
LETTER
Since 2011 I've been working as a professional of the film industry, particularly as production sound mixer or boom operator on numerous projects, films and documentaries.
Along with my experience I've learnt that what I can bring to the table are not only the technical abilities I've developed over the years, but also and more importantly my personal skills. Punctuality and accountability, as a mean to be ready to adapt to each new environment. Collaboration and being helpful as a way to find solutions to problems and to improve everybody's work conditions.
Showing care and listening, to help build empathy with everybody on set, crew, talent and subjects who are being filmed.
Working on the set of observational documentaries I've found myself in situations where these abilities are particularly valuable. Whether being it a court of law (La Convocazione, documentary, 2016), a public school in a difficult neighborhood (Il Fronte Interno, documentary, 2022), or a morgue (Sconosciuti Puri, documentary, 2023) it has proved to be very important to be able to show attention, to take another's perspective, to adapt to the situation while still carrying out the job in the best way possible.
I'm looking forward to confront myself with new tasks, always eager to learn and to prove I can adapt and implement my skills to the next project.
