After leaving the centre for journalism studies in Cardiff, I worked as a freelance sound recordist on obversataonal documentaries and format shows. Switching roles to self-shooting Producer/Director in 2001, I have been working on long-term observational documentary projects, presenter lead wildlife shows and format shows since then. I have experience on managing filming access and contributions on multiple high end documentary series which required a sensitive and humorous approach. I have filmed all over the world from the heat of Hawaiian volcanoes, most of Southern and Western Africa to the cold of Alpine ski resorts and the artic circle. For the past 15 years as well as freelancing as jobbing P/D and drone camera operator I have also been running the Film Department at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School training talent in-front and behind the camera. I have an extensive technical knowledge of various camera platforms, drones, mini cams, sound and lighting. I have a proven track record of working with presenters & actors on location, managing production teams in the field and producing scripted productions.
