I am an English and Creative Writing graduate with a versatile background in media, production, and editorial work, now seeking to build my career in scripted production as a runner. My experience across both creative and logistical roles has given me a well-rounded skill set.
I first cultivated these skills in social media and editorial roles, most notably at Formative Content, where I produced daily content for high-profile clients including the World Economic Forum and the Gates Foundation. Working under intense deadlines, especially during live events, honed my ability to stay calm and solutions-focused. These experiences taught me the importance of precision, quick decision-making, and clear communication - skills I now bring to production environments.
Alongside this, I have gained direct production experience in both unscripted and scripted settings. As a Production Assistant with Duck Productions during London Fashion Week, I coordinated the fast turnaround of SD cards between photographers and editors, a role requiring efficiency, trustworthiness, and stamina in high-pressure conditions. More recently, I supported Rex Rooster Productions on the short drama-comedy Deadheading as a Runner. This voluntary role allowed me to gain on-the-ground experience assisting multiple departments, supporting the crew with logistics, and ensuring smooth coordination across set. It in these roles that I discovered how much I thrive in collaborative production spaces, where adaptability and proactive problem-solving are essential.
Beyond my this work, I actively seek opportunities to deepen my industry knowledge and practical skills. I have completed the BAFTA Albert Sustainability Certification and The Mark Milsome Foundation Film and TV Online Safety Passport course, which have given me a strong grounding in industry standards, safe working practices, and sustainable approaches to production.
I am also a producer for Brum Radio, where I plan and deliver weekly live shows, coordinate guests, and maintain a smooth running order. This role has strengthened my ability to manage schedules, handle last-minute changes, and ensure presenters and talent feel supported; skills directly transferable to production work.
My background in English and Creative Writing reflects my long-standing passion for storytelling. Whether through my academic work, songwriting, or my interest in film and TV, I am driven by stories that connect with audiences in a meaningful way.
As someone who has navigated a varied career path, I bring resilience, flexibility, and a willingness to learn from every opportunity. I am strongly equipped to take on the challenges of runner roles, supporting productions with energy and professionalism while continuing to build my knowledge of the industry from the ground up. With a strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, and genuine enthusiasm for film and television, I am committed to making a meaningful contribution to any production team I join.
