I am passionate about media and live TV with a specific interest in camera operating and
editing. My most recent contracts with Avalon Factual and Freemantle, I was on location
supporting filming of auditions for Britain’s Got Talent, and Dogs Behaving (very) Badly, which
involved me working as a Runner. I had responsibility for putting microphones on and ensuring
the safety of equipment I oversaw. I also worked with Lighting and camera equipment making
sure they were always fully charged and ready to use. I worked closely with the public both while
helping with crowd control to keep shots clean and with talent to inform them of what was
happening.
I have done some work independently as a videographer and photographer, promoting local
businesses and events. This developed my ability to creatively shoot promotional videos based
on client requirements following set briefs and following them and providing work clients and
happy and proud to use.
I have experience of live editing in my role as highlight operator with ADI.TV where I have gained
vital time management skills and the ability to work under pressure to create high quality
industry standard products.
Whilst undertaking freelance work I have be asked to film and photograph live content
consecutively and have been able to balance the capture of high quality film material to create
the desired video while also producing a large portfolio of photos.
At University I collaborated with others to create and produce a 6 episode TV series, funded by
UCLan and show on Sky TV. This was shortlisted for a Times Higher Education Award.
Many thanks for considering my application.
