Tom Cottrell is a reliable and creative Avid offline editor with over 20 years of experience.

A good sense of timing and rhythm allows him to solve most edit suite problems strategically. Having a clear and focused understanding of what it means to create a narrative, he works equally well with a director/producer or by himself. Being passionate about music and sound, Tom has a well grounded concept of sound design. With a good understanding of graphics he can work well with graphic designers and online editors. He specialises mainly in documentary drama television shows for major broadcasters, though he can work in many other genres. 

He works predominantly from his custom built edit cabin and in central London edit suites. He also enjoys playing football, country walks, cooking, DIY, photography, music, films, and of course TV. Read Less
