Read MoreSalut! I'm Em, I graduated in 2019 with a BA in Media Production. In 2021 I began managing the Short Sounds Film Festival and ran the event for 9 months, balancing this with assisting on Die Before You Die as a production assistant through the winter. After this I began working for White Lantern Film/TLS Ideas Studio managing their social and creative online content, and the company soon found luck in producing films for LA company Reel One Entertainment. With the creation of BH Movies specifically for this new venture, I acted as Assistant Producer for three feature length films across three years, with an additional grittier film Played and Betrayed being produced in this same timeframe for Tubi. As the company began to settle, I took on the role of Development Producer, and managed a database of script and IP submissions, and became the point of contact for potential writers, directors, and producers to collaborate with. Side quest, during the summer of 2024 I volunteered with Brownsea Open Air Theatre and assisted in set building and prop making. Sadly, times in the industry are hard! I accepted redundancy from BH Movies in September 2024, and filled my time with writing and helping friends with their own projects, namely as Sound Assistant for a TV series test shoot and for a short film. I was then brought on board Rogue Trooper as a Production Coordinator, an animation film with Treehouse Digital, and thrown into the deep end of a completely new medium 2.5 years into the making. It was great fun with a great team, but a tragically limited time contract. I have since been considering moving into a different industry; it's easy to become lost and pessimistic with the rise of AI. But I am not ready to quit, just yet! I am now looking for freelance positions; runner, set PA, post PA, assistant producer, sound assistant, art dept assistant.
