I’m Alzbeta, a filmmaker and photographer originally from Slovakia. My journey in visual storytelling began when I moved to Las Vegas at 17 to study art and launch my career. Later, I pursued degrees in advertising and film in London, where I honed my skills in both photography and filmmaking.

In 2023, I directed my debut short film, Vanity, which explores the complexities of human relationships and the human psyche. Vanity was featured in seven film festivals worldwide, winning awards for Best First Time Filmmaker and Best LGBTQ Film (twice), and earning a nomination for Best Female Director. Shortly after, I gained invaluable experience working on my first feature documentary as an assistant to the director/producer. Additionally, I’ve worked as a photographer, including for London Fashion Week 2024.

Nothing moves me the way films do, and my love and passion for this art form drive me every day. As the first queer female film director from Slovakia, I’m dedicated to being part of the magic of cinema for the rest of my life.  Read Less
