I’m working hard to break into the world of television, with a particular focus on post-production and the long-term goal of becoming an editor. After 18 years as a teacher, most recently as Head of Drama Studies, I’ve developed a wealth of transferable skills including organisation, leadership, creativity and clear communication, all of which I now bring to my work in media. I’ve always been fascinated by storytelling, and my passion for unscripted television comes from the way real lives are shaped into narratives through editing. To explore this, I’ve created my own projects, experimenting with structure, pacing and style to better understand how editing shapes emotion and story. I know I’m at the start of my journey in the industry, but I’m eager to keep learning, gain hands-on experience and prove myself as someone dedicated to developing a career in post-production.
