As Head of Factual and Specialist Factual at Twofour, I pioneered the self-funded production output and created the global sales hits ‘Born to Kill?’ (10 series) and ‘Impossible Engineering’ (10 series). I developed Channel 5’s longest running show ‘The Hotel Inspector’ and established its success across its first 9 series.
I have successfully exec’d acclaimed productions for more than two decades, consistently exceeding target margins without ever compromising quality, compliance, or returnability.
I’ve run teams large and small, managed multiple edits, directed multi-camera shoots and worked alone as a self-shooter. My factual experience is wide and varied, from true crime, to arts, from documentary to lifestyle, from fact ent to children’s and I’ve collaborated with established presenters, developed new talent, and worked with vulnerable contributors.
I am a respected edit-producer and writer and a noted trouble shooter. Throughout my career, I have continued to direct, self-shoot, self-edit and compose soundtracks. I am recognised for my storytelling ability, sense of humour and exceptional craft skills.
I’m committed to developing off-screen talent, team-building and nurturing a positive production culture. I’m an enthusiastic, supportive mentor, have initiated training and recruitment schemes, workshops, short-film competitions, and workplace community projects like choirs and bands. As a former member of the RTS Devon & Cornwall committee I’ve produced several Student Awards events and chaired judging panels.
