As part of my degree, I completed a year internship at A+E Networks as an On-air Broadcasting intern across two departments: presentation and continuity. This role developed my attention to detail, time management and teamwork skills in a practical, fast-paced setting. I have maintained a First throughout my degree while coaching and dancing for my university dance team, ultimately leading them to first place in this year's competition.
I am a self-motivated hardworking individual who brings a positive light to situations. I always try to think creatively and problem-solve when new challenges arise.
My end goal is to be a presenter. I am currently working on starting a podcast in the background and looking for a graduate job in television to learn more about the industry, gain experience in its fast-paced environment and develop my skills. I have always had a passion for television and have been inspired by its influence, scripted or otherwise. This interest led me to write a 12,000 dissertation titled: 'Is Reality Television a 21st Century ‘Hunger Games’?: Creating Conflict and Exploiting Participants for Entertainment', achieving a grade of 83. This topic allowed me to use narratives from fiction and their social commentary to understand and evaluate the world of unscripted reality television, fuelling my passion to learn and be involved in the television industry.
