Environmental storytelling is core to who I am, and has remained the focus of my professional and personal life for several years. After graduating from my BA focusing on Ecocriticism (ecology in stories), I studied an MSc in Environment, Politics and Development - and since then, I have found myself on numerous professional adventures.
I have been on the ground in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, presenting a COP27 update series for a climate think tank, I've been treated to stories about swimming pigs in the Bahamas whilst interviewing the High Commisioner on shoot, and I've put my environmental knowledge and research skills to good use on film topics ranging from regenerative agriculture to the wellbeing of small island nations as a Senior Researcher, and later Assistant Producer, with the BAFTA award-winning Atomized Studios.
To sharpen my shooting skills, I have also been accepted onto the competetive and industry-renowned ScreenSkills Trainee Scheme as a camera trainee, and most recently spent 4 months with BBC Studios' Blue Peter's Film Team, juggling multiple priorities and helping to deliver a wide range of location-based shoots for the world's longest running children's TV programme.
I also have a keen interest in literature, sports, history and theatre, and love exploring topics through a niche lens (ask me about my thesis examining the link between sleep deprivation and environmental destruction!). I'm exceptionally social media literate, having managed channels for several climate brands, including Climate Home News, with extensive experience across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and X.
