Read MoreI have recently completed an MA in Production Management for TV, Film, and Digital Media at the University of Salford, where I acheieved over 80% pass rate across 11 assessments and 5 modules. I have previously worked in education as a secondary school drama teacher and did so successfully for four years; however, I have always dreamed of having a career in television and decided that this was the right time to pivot from my teaching career into the television industry. Thus far, I have completed three projects as a studio runner for Lifted Entertainment, where I have become well acquainted with working in a studio setting. In all three of these projects, I have worked closely with contributors and well-known talent, both effectively and professionally. From my running experience, I have been able to understand the logistics of studio days and understand risk assessments, movement orders, and scheduling. Most recently I have worked as a production runner for a reality dating show where I have become familiar with the more logisitical aspects of a production and also taken responsiblity for the production finances by using PMI regularly.
As part of my studies, I have become well versed in production working practices, laws, and policies. I have scheduled and budgeted for television shows while gaining an understanding of different aspects of production management, such as insurance, contracts, and copyright. I am also BAFTA Albert certified, which means I have the competency to make a production sustainable.
Aside from my technical abilities, I am generally a vibrant, hardworking, and resilient person who has been commended for my work ethic and positive nature.
