I have worked with Andrew on several challenging and successful discovery channel shoots dealing with boats, wild animals, weather, and technical equipment. He is a quiet professional that gets the job done no matter the circumstances and a pleasure to work with.
I have worked with Andrew on multiple shoots over the last few years, often with challenging conditions, usually in remote locations and always with brutal hours and dangerous animals. Andrew is always calm and professional no matter what. His great communication and endless energy keeps the team running smoothly and his drive to get the best result is an inspiration on any shoot. I have no hesitation recommending Andrew, he's the guy we all want on the team. Kina Scollay, Underwater Cinematographer
If there’s someone I’d choose to have on a production team, it’s Andrew. I’ve worked with him on three shows, and he’s consistently been an outstanding member of the crew. He managed logistics with calm efficiency, filmed a large portion of the shoots with a sharp eye for detail, and contributed to post-shoot editing with creativity and precision. Whether in pre-production, on set, or in post, Andrew brings a strong work ethic, versatility, and a great team spirit. Any production would be lucky to have him.

I’ve had the honor and pleasure of working closely with Andrew Neal on adventure film projects around the world for over a decade. Andrew is the ultimate “Swiss Army knife” of production—there’s nothing he can’t do, and nothing above or below his pay grade. He gets the job done every time, always with a smile.
Beyond his unmatched skills in field logistics and production, Andrew is a genuine, empathetic, and consistently positive human being—a consummate professional in every sense. He’s a true asset to any project, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. Bottom line: Andrew is a rockstar, and I’d work with him again at the drop of a hat & so should you! Thank You!
Had the pleasure of working with Andrew for 2+ years in extremely high-risk production environments around the globe - he works harder than anyone around him, he wears many production hats, he is ferociously focused on the safety and well-being of his location crews; he's always open to jumping into new tasks & adventures that exceed his job description, and he's a real pleasure as a human being. Can't say enough about him - hire him.
I have had the pleasure of working with Andrew across the last 4 years on various wildlife documentaries. Most of these have been Shark Week shows for Discovery channel that usually involve long hours, ambitious stunts with sharks, where we are working under time constraints, out at sea and with unpredictable wild animals. Andrew was always the calmest person on the boat whatever the scenario and was an integral member of the team ensuring morale was high and productivity was maintained. He is a creative thinker regularly coming up with novel ideas for shows and concepts. I enjoyed working with him on new ways to showcase shark behavior that was relatable to viewers. Andrew also regularly assisted with prop building, design and development for the shows. I look forward to continuing to work with him in the future.
Working with Andrew Neal on the most recent Shark Week production was an absolute pleasure and privilege. As a marine biologist based in the Caribbean, I have been part of many research and media collaborations, and I can confidently say that Andrew stands out as one of the most professional, respectful, and dedicated producers I’ve had the opportunity to work with. From the earliest stages of planning through to the final day on set, Andrew consistently demonstrated a deep commitment not only to the success of the production but also to the accurate and thoughtful portrayal of science. His support for our research goals and his understanding of the complexity and nuance involved in marine fieldwork was truly exceptional. Andrew made sure that the scientific integrity of the project remained intact while balancing the needs of a dynamic and engaging storyline.Beyond his professionalism, Andrew brought a sense of calm, humor, and camaraderie to the field—qualities that are invaluable in often unpredictable and demanding expedition environments. His ability to foster collaboration between crew, talent, and scientists was seamless and deeply appreciated.I look forward to any opportunity to work with Andrew again and cannot recommend him highly enough for any production that seeks to blend compelling storytelling with real science.
Andrew has been a pleasure to work with over the past 4 years. He has a natural ability to learn on the fly and pick up new skills to fill any role, all while fulfilling the tasks needed for his own role.
Andrew has great organizational and planning skills that ensured all crew members were of where they needed to be, what they needed, and that they were provided with everything required to work on long shoots in sometimes difficult conditions while still being comfortable and taken care of.
Andrew is a great asset to every team that he is part of and is a pleasure to work with!
I had the pleasure of working with Andrew when he produced for Shark Week with Hazmat Productions. Andrew was not only terrific to work with as a genuinely personable and fun part of the team, but I respected and appreciated his professionalism, team spirt, the ability to to multitask from producing to picking up a camera to supporting all aspects of filming from pre to post. He was an invaluable part of the project with a broad production skillset that supported every facet of filming. Additionally, his ability to pivot, make decisions on the fly and work in extreme environments on projects that are often as much expedition as they are filming is a strong asset to any team.
