I love music. I love film. I love film music. Having played piano since the age of 8 and being in multipe rock bands throughout my teenage years before going on to write several solo albums of both songs and isntrumental music, music was always going to be the thing for me. I had always loved listening to film music and in my later teenage years I had the opportunity of working with student filmmakers on their projects. This is where I fell in love with media composition and it has ever since been my goal to work professionally as a media composer.
I completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Edinburgh between 2015-2019 which, although wasn't for me,
has helped me become an emotionally intelligent individual which allows me to really understand what others want from me when completing work as a media composer. I am strongly able to understand the emotion and drive of someone elses project and turn this into sound relevant to the visuals, tone, and narrative.
I spent time as a performing musician in Edinburgh and unfortunately lost this work due to Covid-19. Despite this, I used my time effectively over the following few years by working on my craft and developing as a composer.
From this time working on my skills, I was able to succesfully apply and be accepted in the University of Bristol's Master Course "Composition of Music for Film and TV". This course provided me with a wealth of knowledge and experience in all areas of media compositon.
I am now in the position to put myself into the professional world with a confidence in my ability to be able to truely understand your project, compose original and unique music for it, and absolutely cherish the opportunity and process of doing it.
