I’m an experienced Producer & Writer, with an MA in Screenwriting and a very broad creative and practical skillset, and I'm ideally looking for opportunities in factual entertainment, entertainment, scripted or comedy.I've worked primarily in broadcast TV since 2008, across most genres, including comedy, hidden camera, children’s, magic, entertainment, factual entertainment, formatted factual, quiz and more, in development, production and in the edit.
Ad-hoc development work aside, most recently I spent two years as a Senior Creative Producer at YouTube-First kid's producer Wild Brain, acting as creative and strategic lead on a number of internal and external projects and productions across live action, animation and stop motion.
I’m full of ideas, great with format and a very solid writer, having written everything from snappy one-pagers to full broadcast scripts and hours of VO over the course of my work to date, not to mention more pitch decks than I can remember.
I have a firm working grasp of narrative structure and a real talent for voice and tone, drama and comedy. I've read and reported on scripts too, both at work and in my MA studies.
Aside from my writing, I offer a very broad skillset, including but not limited to leading teams, shooting and cutting for sizzles; producing run-throughs, challenges and games; casting contributors and experts; working with talent; sourcing and scouting locations; preparing/managing budgets and schedules; developing corporate strategy and processes; managing diaries; and preparing a range of pitch and presentation documents in PowerPoint, Photoshop, Adobe Premier and more besides.
I'm practical and adaptable, a real team player with a hands-on approach to my work, able to foresee and plan for problems, through logical and lateral thinking and years of experience on the job. I'm passionate about story.
I've deliberately tried to keep this fairly brief, but I'd be happy to provide more info or answer any questions you may have.
