During a bout at film school in the vibrant, creative city of Liverpool, I uncovered a passion for philosophical and sociological storytelling, and I utilised this passion in my creative endeavours. I've gained almost a decade of experience in video editing, and find the sentiment of narrative film editing exciting and fascinating, and always find new texts/testimonials from experienced editors to propel my skillset and understanding of the craft.
My latest,
The Electronic Kidney (2024), is an experimental documentary featuring the words of my late mother on the topic of kidney failure. It has been revered at festivals worldwide, and garnered a selection of screenings across the UK and America, as well as plaudits from my filmmaking peers. The film was made almost entirely with nostalgic VHS footage of me and my older sister as we grew into adolescence, learning of the tribulations our mother was facing during her experience with chronic illness.
I'm also the co-founder of Keystone Productions, a small, independent media production company based in the North-West of England, as well as a regular editor and contributor to the film zine 'Ticketstub', and philosophy magazine 'Philosophical Rambler'.
