My skill set spans from working on award winning reality juggernauts Big Brother, The Farm, I’m a Celebrity and Dirty Dancing…to The Big Breakfast, Robot Wars & Most Haunted and cutting-edge documentaries like Wild Hippo Feast & Sharks.
As Head of Unscripted for Crackit TV, my time was focused on development, generating new formats and ideas to commissioner briefs. Plus Exec producing several series in production at the time.
Head of Entertainment for Mentorn - my responsibilities included delivering Robot Wars for BBC2, running a daytime live show for Channel 4, plus overseeing teams, and development from Scotland (pitching to Kalpna Patel- Knight, Patrick Holland, and Jo Street whilst at the BBC).
During my time as Creative Director for STV Productions, I oversaw the BAFTA winning Celebrity Antiques Road Trip and development, (pitching to David Sayer and Syeda Irtizaali whilst at Channel 4).
In 2007 I worked in a new department at Endemol tasked with embracing the world of digital within the context of TV broadcast. During this time, I got The Million Pound Drop commissioned by creating the BAFTA winning elements. My other credits in this genre include setting the industry standard, for the online/broadcast output of Big Brother on Channel 4 and running the first online TV and music series Beat & The Gap Year.
I’m passionate about creating working ideas and have spent years in development within my various roles. Creating new formats like Mirror Mirror for BBC Scotland to series like Love in the Flesh and The Million Pound Drop where I built them up from a paper format into working shows ready to go into production.
I also have the invaluable experience of setting up and running a successful small Indie. As Managing Director of Very Nice TV, I secured two years of funding from the Scottish Government, developed, and delivered a successful new format for BBC Scotland and produced and delivered a comedy sketch series for Channel 4.
