In 2026, he has also been platformed in the Catalyst Film Festival and Danú Media’s Greenlight Lab, run by Channel 4's Philip Shelley, for his screenwriting talents.
Most recently, James spent four consecutive years priducing live entertainment content with flagship morning television programme IRELAND AM, a live format running for three hours per-morning across the week. This involved gallery outputting, guest booking, interview briefing and scripted content / beats. He began in this role as a Researcher in 2022, and advanced to the role of Studio Producer in 2024.
With Ireland AM, James organised running orders for a programme which consistently delivered seven shows per week and nine segments per show. He circulated callsheets, briefed talent/crew and served as a gallery producer for a minimum of two studio outputs per week, coordinating with presenters and crew across formatted three-hour live broadcasts.
He also produced a large quantity of VTs and OBs on location, including commerical shoots for Fáilte Ireland, celebrity red carpets and sponsored events at ‘Me Auld Flower’, ‘The Big Grill’ and the ‘Emerald Park’ re-launch. Assembled freelance crews, drew up detailed intineraries and liaised at all times with the team back at the studio.
He has been awarded Screen Ireland Development Funding for feature screenplay TIME & PLACE in conjunction with Samson Films ('Once"), and has a number of other projects optioned and in active development.
