James is a writer and producer of live broadcast television, currently participating in the BBC Voices 2025 programme after placing in the Top 3% of applicants to the 2024 Open Call, and the Top 5% of Channel 4's New Writers Scheme 2025.

He produces live entertainment content with flagship Virgin Media programme IRELAND AM, a breakfast show running for three hours per-morning across the week. This involves gallery outputting, guest booking, interview briefing and scripted content / beats.

He has been awarded Screen Ireland Development Funding for feature screenplay TIME & PLACE in conjunction with Samson Films, and is now developing another pilot with NEWGRANGE PICTURES.

With a range of features and pilots in his portfolio, James brings a fresh and vitally current Gen-Z perspective to every project he undertakes, blending propulsive drama and comedy predominantly through the lens of lesser-known LGBTQ+ stories.
