I have moved to London to co-run a TV/Film production company. This new venture is with a business partner who has been a Director within the industry for over 6 years working on big television shows. I will be taking on the role of Producer to enable her dream of releasing her own TV show.
This is a career shift for me, having worked in the events production space until now... However - this is a new challenge I cannot wait to thrive in. My previous employement and experience have helped me develop the necessary skillset to do this key process:
I can...
- Pick up any project
- Work out what needs to be done
- Create a plan (including tasks, timelines, people, processes & budgets)
- Implement this plan and see it through to full execution (by either doing myself or leading a team)
- Liaise with stakeholders, suppliers, clients et al to ensure a fully successful and desired output
- Be there on the day to manage and direct all parties involved
In essence, I am very much a
make it happen kind of person. This has previsouly been applied to running big events, working to grow start-ups and creating one-off video projects (and even directing a 60-person flashmob!). I am now looking to turn my skillset to the TV & Film industry. Bring it on.
The reason I am on Talent Manager is because I am looking to find some part time work, or short term projects, in order to grow my industry specific knowledge, and build a network within the industry. Please see my CV for more about me and my experience.
