I was Harriet's SP on Series 4 of "24 Hours Police Custody". Harriet hadn't previously worked on a broadcast documentary series but I was impressed by the calibre of short films that she had made and her technical know how.
Police Custody is not an easy series to make, it's a big team effort and needs people to wear lots of different hats on any given day.
Harriet was a valuable member of the team - she shot across several episodes, formed strong relationships with a lot of the officers and was generally a very pleasant person to have around.
I can see Harriet having a long, successful career in Documentary making.
Harriet worked as a PD for me on Countryfile as part of my rural affairs team. I found her eminently reliable, always keen to pitch and develop stories, as well as go above and beyond for the production. A confident self-shooter and accomplished script writer, Harriet delivered engaging, insightful, and often entertaining films throughout her time on the programme. Her duty of care and ability to put contributors at ease, especially those currently struggling with difficult circumstances, set her apart as a director covering observational features. I have no doubt she will be an asset to any team she works with, delivering strong and engaging films, through every stage of production from development to delivery.
