I am a Scenic Carpenter and Metalwork Fabricator, skills learnt in theatre, now working freelance in TV, theatre and exhibitions.

I spent around 5 months in 2022 building sets for the Moonage Productions / Netflix show 'Bodies'. Last year I did some work on 'A Gentleman in Moscow' assisting the fabricating of the main hotel frontage while I was working at SET.

I have been freelance since 2022. Since then I have worked mainly for RT Scenic and Harrogate SET constructing scenery for theatre and events. During this time I have put the musical 'SIX' into Seoul, South Korea and installed a show at Garsington Opera for Harrogate. I have also done fit-ups for RT Scenic at The Crucible Sheffield, Storyhouse Chester and Die Cast Manchester.

Prior to 2022 I was Head of Stage at Leeds Playhouse for seven years. Before this I worked in rigging, flying and technical stage work. 

I have a background in climbing wall construction, climbing wall route setting and working at height. I am keen rock climber and mountaineer with many years' experience in Snowdonia, Yosemite, Canadian Rockies, Arctic Norway and beyond. Read Less
