His latest short film, Warriors of Sanità, had a successful festival run, winning Best Short at the Oscar- qualifying Rhode Island Film Festival and at the Giffoni Film Festival. The film was acquired by Rai Cinema for release on its platforms and was picked up by Omeleto for their channel, where it was released globally and received more than 46.000 views at the time of writing. Luca has also won an award for his writing and directing in the advertising space, with a short online advertisement for the Barilla Company's “Barilla Video Factory competition”.
Luca is a Directors UK member and has been trained by Miranda Harcourt (acting coach for the likes of Peter Jackson and Jane Campion) to work with non-professional and child actors. He is currently being mentored by Bafta-Winning director Jonny Campbell (Am I Being Unreasonable?) under the Inspire 23/24 program and has recently completed filming on two short films commissioned by The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
Luca is in in development on a range of other projects, among which his debut feature, and is currently shadowing director Jonny Campbell in the edit of his upcoming feature film, Cold Storage.
