I am a recent graduate of the University of Cambridge and I am looking to get in to the screen industries. I am interested in the script and location departments in particular. For the former, I have a lot of experience writing and editing scripts for student theatre. I've written and directed my own one-act comedy-drama and written an hour-long comedy sketch show during my time at university, as well as working as an editor on other shows and writing my own stand-up comedy material. I've enjoyed working in theatre but I would love to expand and transition to film, tv or games scripts. For the latter, I don't have any direct experience, but my job as a theatre usher has given me loads of transferrable skills for a position like location marshall (organisation, thinking on my feet, communication, working with the public). After attending a zoom webinar led by Location Routes which went into detail about location and studio positions, I think I would thrive in this exciting department. I'm eager to try my hand at all kinds of new positions in these departments and hear about any paid opportunities in Manchester! Read Less
