Dalemoor Ltd
Jane is a highly experienced communications and change leader - as well as a people person with strong values who relishes a business challenge. Recent work includes leadership development, management training and staff engagement to support the embedding of a new culture and behaviours. Jane also facilitates workshops, particularly involving teams which are planning change or have undergone recent change. Recent clients have included Amgueddfa Cymru, which runs Wales' seven national museums, and an NHS membership organisation. Jane also works with fellow small business owners across North Yorkshire, helping them with presentation advice and storytelling skills to create video content and marketing strategies to maximise their presence on social media.
Jane's background as a globally respected health journalist means that she understands how to implement communications strategies that will achieve sustained change. Her 13-point plan will help develop your narrative for your change programme, and ensure you’ve covered every area needed to enable your staff and stakeholders to engage effectively with change. Jane is also an accredited Executive Coach.
During the UK’s first Covid lockdown, Jane explained and deconstructed Downing Street briefings for BBC TV viewers around the world, putting those unprecedented events into a calm and clear evidence-based context. She previously reported on global health and medical stories from countries such as Nicaragua and Nigeria, and tracked major ongoing crises including Ebola and swine flu. Jane has been on X (Twitter) since 2009 and has 30k followers there. She has over 1,600 connections on LinkedIn.
Not content with being a top flight broadcaster and digital content creator, Jane wanted to pivot her career so she learnt a wide range of techniques to improve businesses. After successfully completing a series of shorter agile projects, she led the change and engagement workstreams of the two biggest transformation programmes ever undertaken by the BBC, navigating the complexities of a publicly funded organisation and overcoming staff resistance to deliver the required results within deadline. This work has included building and writing a 20-page internal website which explained context and detail to 2,000 affected staff. She also designed and ran targeted workshops and speaker sessions to drive change engagement – these achieved participant scores ranging from 3.7 to 4.7 out of 5.
Jane loves her work as an Executive Coach. She has helped clients overcome their work-related challenges with proven business benefit, including avoiding the need for sickness absence. One client said in the concluding session: “I now understand how my brain works differently to many people’s.” Recent client work has focused on targeted support for applicants preparing CEO applications or facing specific communication-related challenges.
Beyond paid work, Jane volunteers with an organisation in Leeds which supports women with their career searches. She recently became a marketing and communications trustee for HQIP (Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership), which produces nationally respected healthcare data to help drive improvement.
Jane moved from London to North Yorkshire several years ago and enjoys paddleboarding, hiking and yoga. Read Less
