I am writing to express my interest in floor runner positions.
I am a graduate from the University of East London. I received a First Class Honours in film towards the end of spring in 2021 during Covid. Whilst my degree offered practical modules, there was an emphasis on film theory and analysis, and the practical modules were hampered by the pandemic. I feel that experience in more production companies would be a great way for me to build upon the skills I have gained in higher education and use them on a more practical level. I am eager to access the industry at whatever level I can so that I can learn from experts and grow as a young film maker.
In the meantime, since graduating, I have been working in several jobs simultaneously, including a tech company facilitating law cases in London and abroad, and working with and maintaining 35mm film projectors, building/breaking down film reels and projecting. I am however, passionate about film-making and intend to pursue this as a career. It is still undecided what form my career may take me, but a good start is in supporting a team of creative people who can inspire and share in the same passion.
I am a creative person, I enjoy photography, and adding to my film blog, and enjoy creating short films, then editing them with things like premier pro. I’m also a team player, and often find myself driven by others to do well and achieve a common goal in creating something we are proud of. Therefore, I feel as though I would be a good fit as a floor runner somewhere in the industry soon enough.
If there is an interest for you to learn more about myself, I have included my C.V. It includes things like my qualifications, past industry experience and also my contact details (email/mobile). I appreciate you taking the time to read through my profile and checking out my curriculum vitae.
Thank you for your consideration.
