Hi all, I've worked in broadcasting since the late 1990s.  My experience is mostly working as a sound recordist/mixer on live news and sports events.  I've worked for a wide range of broadcasters and independents on entertainment, current affairs, documentary, and corporate jobs.  I'm a full owner-operator with a comprehensive soundkit comprised of Zaxcom, Lectrosonics, Sound Devices and Sennheiser gear.  I have a UKPCA press pass which makes accessing places like Downing St possible.

Although sound is my first love, I consider myself to be multi-skilled and have a lot of experience operating cameras for outside broadcast.  I've worked on football, rugby, many motorsports, netball, ice hockey, boxing, you name it...

I live just outside Manchester.  Liverpool and Leeds are about an hour away, Birmingham is two hours distant, London is a two hour train journey.

Away from work I'm a walking and cycling advocate, I want to help reduce car dependency by influencing policy on active travel infrastructure and public transport.  I'd like people to have the option of living their lives without needing to spend thousands on a car, to be fit, happy and healthy.  I like cars and have filmed them my entire career, but ownership of them shouldn't be a requirement to live.
