He has a particular interest in narratives about disability and was nominated as the UK's Best New Director 2020 at the Edinburgh TV Festival for the BBC TV movie Ups and Downs (Best TV Movie - New York TV Festival). That's where he discovered frequent collaborator James Martin, the first actor with Downs Syndrome to win an Oscar.
He has directed episodes of Ted's Top Ten (a CITV sitcom), Picklestorm (a CBBC sitcom) and The Break (BBC3). He also directed William of Orangedale (a comedy pilot BLAP for Hat Trick/Channel 4) and an unannounced project for the BBC.
As a writer, he has written episodes of RTÉ's long-standing soap Fair City, BBCNI's college drama series 6 Degrees and the CBeebies animation Odo. Additionally he has written sketches for Newsjack, Watson's Wind Up and Soft Border Patrol (where his Moving the Border sketch went viral and has over 55 million views).
Other creations as a writer-director include the multi award-winning Incoming Call (Best Film at Belfast Film Festival), Kill Me Now (RTÉ) and two RTÉ Storyland series, Free House and Trouble Times Three. He has directed ads and filmed several projects in VR. He also spent a decade developing and producing factual television.
