I am a playwright and screenwriter from the East Midlands, passionate about exploring emotion-driven narratives that ask questions about who we are today. I have had plays produced across the Midlands and the UK, working with companies including Middle Child, Hull Truck Theatre, East Riding Theatre, Shooting Fish Theatre, Chapterhouse Theatre and Durham Gala Theatre. For screen I have worked with BFI Network, BBC New Creatives, Urban Apache Films, Lost Eye Films and Inceptive Films, and my debut feature LAPWING was released in cinemas in 2021. I am focused on untold female perspectives and interrogating the female experience, gaze and voice, bringing to life feisty, forthright female characters who are brave, surprising and explore what it means to be a strong woman in different contexts. I am a New Perspective New Associate and I run my own Midlands-based company, Fury Theatre.
