I joined the telly world back in 2016 as an Office and Development Coordinator for Red Sky Productions having spent the previous decade working in retail and writing for various culture and music websites including Time Out Glasgow, Wow 247 and Edinburgh Festivals Magazine. When I joined Red Sky I was determined to break into the editorial side of the industry and within a year I was working within its busy development team as a researcher. My instincts for a good idea and eye for detail have kept me at Red Sky where I’ve been part of a team consistently winning commissions across daytime, features, specialist factual and docs. I understand the commissioning landscape to a tee.

In February 2024 I completed the Screen Skills Step Up to Development Producer Programme and I’m now looking for new opportunities and a chance to grow.

I’m currently part of a two-person team working across BBC Daytime, Sky, and UKTV with a funded development in at BBC Factual Entertainment. As a Glasgow based company one of our most important buyers is also BBC Scotland.

As an AP I've built a reputation for taking on and landing tricky access and I’m used to juggling multiple projects of differing tones and shapes at any one time. I can write to any tone or brief and pitch directly to commissioners often. My ideas have worked there way up to department heads and channel controllers. At busy periods researchers and RAD trainees have joined the team, giving me responsibility for managing their workload. Read Less
