I started as a professional journalist at the age of 17. Here's a glimpse of my 16-year career, specializing in production and live gallery. During my 10-year tenure at CNN India, I produced and frequently co-hosted four of its flagship morning live shows: Headstart, 8am Express, Breakfast with India, and Morning News. Additionally, I produced 150+ episodes of CNN's 'Reporters Project', a show that tapped into the heart of issues that people were talking about. Please watch my portfolio. This decade also taught me to operate Avid, ENPS, Nikon D750, GoPro, drone camera, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Audition, and LiveCut.
Broadcast production is my happy place, my passion, my everything. I’m a storyteller who is ruthless about doing whatever it takes to make unmissable TV. I thrive in the ever-changing environment of live output. I’m the last person you'll find complaining in the newsroom and the first to take my own initiative to solve a problem. TV is a team game, and I'm happy being a team player.
After CNN India, I became Producer (Asia) at Google-funded Glance TV, the world's first AI-driven live platform to deliver personalized factual entertainment. Funded by Google, Glance is the newest mode of news broadcasting which uses artificial intelligence to deliver personalized content to 450 million mobiles globally. Currently, I lead the Production unit at The Wire's Fact Checking and Investigations. I have also produced investigative reports for UK's Channel 4 and NRK TV in Norway, and contributed twice to BBC Radio and Sky News.
In 2019, my investigation on an international drug cartel won the coveted Asian TV award. For this life-threatening TV documentary, I lived with the drug lords for a month by posing as an addict. In 2021, an online poll by a magazine voted me 'Best Journalist' for my series of people-centric stories.
With a cumulative social media following exceeding 150,000, my understanding of social-first content and how to utilize social media to attract audiences to live TV coverage is a significant additional advantage.
Below, you’ll find my demonstrable experience of creatively working with studio producers, editors, experts, and presenters to drive content ideas from planning to completion.
