He's experienced in the use of 4K cameras, including the Canon C70, as well as the CRANE 3S Gimbal and DLSR photography. Nick is also a PADI Enriched-air-diver and has camera assisted on underwater shoots across Indonesia and Borneo.

Exposing him to blue-chip natural history camera equipment and techniques such as the Canon CN20, drones, Phantom high-speed, and timelapse cameras.
Nick is adept at fieldcraft and working around dangerous animals. In the first half of 2023, he spent six months working with remote-based film crews in the Okavango Delta, providing camera assistance as well as initiating a big cat monitoring programme. This was followed in the later part of 2023 with a stint spent capturing behind-the-scenes sequences of Emmy-nominated filmmakers as they documented the lives of Namibia's desert elephants.
Before getting into filmmaking, Nick studied Marine Science at the University of Sydney. His studies took him from the tropical waters of the Great Barrier Reef to the Northern Territory, home to some of the planet's largest crocodiles.
