Science and natural history PD with over 15 years experience working on a range of productions from development through to edit, including specialist factual landmark, presenter-led, fast turnaround and short form digital content. I've spent extensive time on location and am highly skilled at producing and directing multiple and complex shoots, both internationally and in the UK, and often in remote and arduous environments. These have included deserts, jungles, glaciers, caves, underwater, on the water and in busy urban environments. I'm adept at conveying complicated concepts through engaging and character-led storytelling and I have directed wildlife sequences, high profile presenters (including Chris Packham, Liz Bonnin, Gordon Buchanan and Steve Backshall), contributors, remote camera crews and multi-camera set ups. I am tenacious, yet astute when it comes to digging up compelling stories and provide strong editorial input. But with roots as a production co-ordinator, I’m equally happy managing budgets and taking care of shoot logistics. I’ve taken many of the films I’ve directed through the edit and have successfully managed challenging edits with multiple stake-holders. I live and predominantly work in Bristol, although I may also be available for work in London and elsewhere.
