I have a very rounded background and have studied editing theoretically as well as practically. My passion is for documentary but I have worked extensively in short form promotional materials as well.
I have trained to become an Adobe Certified Associate Premiere Pro editor and have been using other packages in the Adobe Creative Suite such as After Effects and Photoshop for many years as well to generate titles and motion graphics.
Since March 2022 I have been employed at Future Studios editing short documentaries for their Truly Youtube channel. This includes complete end to end workflow from footage ingest to finishing, audio mixing and grading. The channel has over 100 million subscribers and videos I have worked on have received over a million views.
Last year I was promoted to senior video editor for Future video a new department that manages in house video for the stable of Future brands. I have done a sizzle and cover shoot video for Marie Claire UK as well as complex After Effects animation projects for The Field’s 170th anniversary, T3 awards ceremony amongst others. I managed a team of junior editors also for a project for go.compare which involved devising an After Effects workflow to create deliverables for a marketing project.
During the pandemic I freelanced on the digital news desk at CGTN, creating video and animations for social media platforms and their website. This is a high pressure quick turnaround environment and has been very rewarding and sharpened my skills as an editor and motion graphics designer.
I was a News and Broadcast Technician at the University of the Arts from 2009 during which time I occupied part time, full time and Associate Lecturer roles. Aside from supporting over 90 mac workstations and providing specialist support for Adobe Creative Suite I also have been involved in the design, implementation and support of a small two camera Tricaster Mini studio. This is used by the students to create web broadcast video for the their projects. I also support two broadcast radio studios using Alice desks wired into Adobe Audition to create podcasts.
I have extensive experience in the University technical services area and during my time worked across many courses including Film and TV and ran courses for the design school.
In 2015 I freelanced as a QC editor for Deluxe Media Europe formatting content for Disney’s new online platform using Premiere, Audition and Photoshop.
In my time at World Circuit I assisted my producer Rosa Bosch extensively in the organization and booking of an eight-camera shoot that took place in Amsterdam at the Paradiso.
After I left World Circuit I worked freelance for the producer Rosa Bosch who I worked with at the label. She went on to set up her own production company B+W films whose clients include Julien Temple and Sophie Fiennes amongst others. I got to work with Sophie Fiennes on her documentary 'Over your Cities Grass Will Grow' helping her prepare her edit for an online by a Dutch TV channel
