An Emmy Award-Winning Cinematographer with a passion for showcasing the planet’s stunning natural diversity and capturing stories. Maxwel grew up on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, Canada before travelling around the world evolving his skills as a diver and filmmaker. Maxwel is a commercial diving instructor, rebreather diver, underwater and above water RED camera operator, cave diver, commercial drone pilot (Transport Canada and FAA Part 107), and acclaimed photographer. He's also a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, and a proud Canadian.

Maxwel offers a wide skillset to productions, especially when working with small crews and needing to adapt to taking on multiple roles. Some of Maxwel’s expertise include working with underwater cinema camera systems, gimbal systems, camera traps, 360 cameras, pole cameras, heavy lift drones, FPV drones, jibs, electronic sliders, long lens systems, ROV’s and more. Maxwel has logged over 6000 dives and has 2500hrs of drone experience and is an experienced and certified skipper having spent most of his life on the water.
