Field Producer & Unit Manager | Documentary & Impact Storytelling
I am a documentary and factual television producer with over 15 years’ experience working hands-on within production teams delivering complex, international productions across five continents. My background spans field production, unit coordination, and production logistics, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, adaptability, and problem-solving in fast-moving environments. I’ve worked closely with producers, directors, production managers, and crews on major international factual series for networks including Discovery Channel, supporting field production and unit coordination on long-running programmes such as
Gold Rush, Mighty Ships, Mighty Trains, and Mighty Planes. My experience includes coordinating remote field shoots, managing contributors and access, and supporting production offices to keep projects moving under pressure.
Alongside broadcast television, I was selected as a Story Society / StoryArcs Fellow (Bath Spa University), working as
Director and Creative Producer on short-form documentary projects exploring biodiversity, economics, and public engagement. The fellowship focused on research-led storytelling developed in collaboration with academic partners, with an emphasis on clarity, accessibility, and real-world impact.
I also direct and produce independent short films and documentaries focused on social impact, culture, and public engagement, and work in impact producing, drawing on published research examining how documentary storytelling and campaign design can support community-led change, including projects developed in collaboration
with Indigenous communities and health leadership within the Hepatitis C community, with related work published in
Global Health Promotion (2025) and forthcoming in the Canadian Journal of Communication.
Beyond production, I have worked in the non-profit and international development sectors, co-leading service-learning programmes in Jamaica and Nepal. As part of my Master’s in Global Leadership, I partnered with Open Learning Exchange (OLE) to support the introduction of laptop technology in remote Himalayan villages, contributing to operations, fundraising, and stakeholder coordination.
