I created, host and produce The Big Fat Questions podcast in my spare time, aiming to teach young people about important topics surrounding science, philsophy and nature that they don’t learn in school. My production drive and passion for podcasting has meant I have brought high-profile names onto the podcast, such as Hollywood actor, Will Poulter and Kimberley Nixon. This has taught me a great deal about production, how to compel audiences when creating audio content, as well as the technicalities of audio and visual production; I have greatly enjoyed independently researching relevant news stories, reaching out to high-profile guests/agents, writing scripts, briefing, interviewing, editing for video and audio, disseminating high-impact content on Spotify and YouTube and marketing on my Instagram page to a range of listeners across the world. IT proficiency has been paramount for this, using Audacity, Adobe Premier Pro and Clipchamp for editing, and Microsoft 365, Adobe Photoshop and Clipchamp to create high-impact social media content.
Furthermore, I have worked on a range of different TV, film, and commercial productions, which have helped me to understand industry terminology and how to work audio and camera equipment. Last month, I was given the supporting voice-over female role in an exciting feature film and have worked on several TV productions such as BBC Call The Midwife; I now have a well-rounded appreciation for different multimedia production techniques as well as media law.
