Through this, I’ve been lucky enough to practice a variety of skills be it creating summaries (where I'm most at home thanks to my history degree), translating and working with archival material, and more on-set skills, such as working with talent, running errands, and understanding camera and lighting equipment.
I am currently self-shooting, producing and editing my own project, a short documentary in alliance with the Woodberry Down Community Organisation (WDCO) about the history and regeneration of the Woodberry Down Council Estate. Through this, I have been learning and practising as much as possible using a radio mic, a canon xf305 camera and adobe premier pro.
I also have plenty of transferrable skills from extensive experience as a waiter and chef, such as multi-tasking, dealing with clientele, and working under intense time pressure. I've also bolstered my administrative and organisational skills by performing at and running my own club nights for charity in Manchester which have raised over £2000 in total for various charities that assist displaced people in the UK.
