When working on a production, I care about making an impact and supporting teams in every way I can. I’m experienced in finding and securing access, liasing and mangaging delicate relationships with agents, celebrties, talent and sometimes vunerable contributors. I have sharp editorial insticts and know how to spot a compelling story and sell this, and on the other hand know when to admit something doesn't work.
I've set up shoots across the UK, negotiating with locations and props in fast turnaround settings as well as more considered approaches. Ahead of filming, I've written mini scirpts, interview questions, breifing documents and prepped contributors for smooth filming. On location, I'm confident producing, staying across editorial notes, and asking IV questions. I have a lot of experience operating various cameras, and am confident setting up interviews, operating the second camera in actuality sequences, and shooting GVs.
I thrive in a collaborative environment, bringing a strong team spirit and a problem-solving mindset, whether that means adapting quickly on location or finding creative solutions under pressure.
I have a background in Immunology and Science Communication, which has really equipped me to support teams working on science and factual films. Sometimes, this is by quietly ensuring the facts are watertight so that we can focus on more interesting problems, and other times by shaping the narrative through the science itself. Having worked across genres, I'm most passionate about socially impactful films that are grounded in journalism.
