Read MoreI am an EIC/LP/EP with years of experience in an on-the-ground leadership role in television and film
production.
Recent projects have included crew sizes from 50 to 365. International locations include The Kingdom of Tonga, Mexico, England, India, and New Zealand. With substantial COVID management experience - including cast and crew evacuation from a remote island in Polynesia at the start of the COVID pandemic for Disney+.
My most recent years of experience are in Non-Scripted TV/Series, but my experience is diverse. I have done multiple shows with crew counts above 150. I have a strong understanding of all aspects of production. On the creative side, I am an Emmy nominated Showrunner, (Billy On The Street 2017) with a strong background in locations/logistics that highlights several years of managing production from pre-production to delivery. Areas, where I excel, are budgets, budget versions, budget forecasting, schedules, cost tracking/reporting, staffing, filming incentives, risk assessment, scouting, permitting/carnets, work visas, safety, equipment, post scheduling, deliverables, and managing communication and expectations with the production company and network executives. I do have substantial experience with international/travel production, (my preferred area). From a remote Amazon camp, through the Middle East, Europe, South America, South Asia, Polynesia, and Russia, I am experienced in moving productions from country to country and handling complications on the ground that arise from international travel and border crossings. I am nearly always the most senior person while traveling from country to country and I am easily comfortable negotiating with the military and heads of state.
I have also worked in nearly every state in the US as well as extensive experience filming in NYC, (I coordinated the first
project using the city's electronic permitting system, The Bourne Legacy). With my experience as an Executive in Charge and with larger complicated shoots, I am very comfortable managing several projects simultaneously while still producing the same quality results. I have an excellent reputation for leading the crew and the daily operations of production at the highest level. I adapt quickly to new environments, and I am adept at keeping cast, crew, and producers happy and safe - all of which have given me the ability to produce the best possible outcome in any situation.
Cheers -
Richard
