While studying English & Drama at Bristol University, I became co-writer / co-director for the theatre group The Special Guests. Our plays were performed at The Edinburgh Fringe and the Arnolfini. After graduating, I worked for Lion TV and Tiger Aspect Productions before studying Documentary Directing at the NFTS.

Since then, I’ve directed several shorts in collaboration with Chu-Li Shewring. Our first film, Semangat (2010), was produced for Channel4/BritDoc under the creative guidance of Oscar winning director Pawel Pawlikowski. Most recently, Fawley (2022), won Best Short Film at Sheffield DocFest. Other films have screened on Channel4 and been nominated in competition at renowned film festivals, including: The London Film Festival, IFF Rotterdam, Edinburgh IFF and Images Toronto (Jury Prize winner).

Current work includes adapting an Ambrose Bierce story for award winning animator, Paul Donnellon, and a feature adaptation of William Golding’s The Inheritors – selected for ACE Producers Animation Special (2021). Read Less
