Being part of a production team appeals to me because it offers a broad spectrum of organisational responsibilities that span from pre-production to post-production. I am highly organised and have demonstrated exemplary written and verbal communication skills throughout my education at the University of Exeter and my subsequent professional career. My organisational skills were honed during my time at Sainsbury’s, where I efficiently managed a team under pressure, ensuring tasks were completed effectively and on time. Additionally, I handled responsibilities at the petrol station independently, which included paperwork, financials, customer service and being in charge of opening and closing the site. I thrive in a friendly, hardworking team environment and am committed to contributing to the success of any project. My education at Met Film School and the University of South Wales provided me with a solid understanding of the production process, highlighting the extensive effort required to organise even a small-scale production. I gained valuable experience with call sheets, release forms, location liaising, financier coordination, and the critical role of risk assessments. I also gained experience with tools such as Movie Magic and Microsoft Office. My on-set experience at Bad Wolf Studios and participation in the BBC short film "Ai Love You" further enriched my understanding of the production process. Observing the roles of line producers, production coordinators, and runners, I saw firsthand how pre-production steps facilitate a smooth shoot. Runners, in particular, impressed me with their versatility and importance on set, handling errands from paperwork production and distribution to crew support. I am drawn to the hands-on nature of production roles and believe my hardworking nature, organisational skills, and friendly demeanour show me potential for the role. My enthusiasm for learning all aspects of filmmaking exemplified by my extracurricular training in Health and Safety and Sustainability. When combined with my practical experience, has equipped me with a solid foundation and a readiness to contribute effectively to any production team.
