I supported and communicated with various stakeholders, including production managers, artist agents and several teams within the business. The high quantity of contracts required prioritisation and teamwork, ensuring deadlines and department requirements were met. I developed my communication, administration, and teamwork abilities by creating production spreadsheets in Excel and providing each production manager with up-to-date information on contracts, leave forms, diversity questionnaires and ScreeSkills Training. Utilising ResourceLink, records are updated and maintained, providing payroll with relevant information. Analysing these records helped identify frequently missing information, leading me to complete DocuSign training. Using this, I improved the DocuSign process for the purposes of sending out contracts and relevant documents to employees, guaranteeing important information is returned. Additionally, I developed my knowledge of tax schedules and working time regulations to ensure HMRC guidelines were followed and GDPR requirements were met.
Further to this, to expand my knowledge of productions I attended an introduction week with Yorkshire Auction House and provided post-production support for Antiques Road Trip. This involved fact-checking scripts and carrying out background checks. I also cross-checked copyright information with Silvermouse and created an archival spreadsheet containing information that was needed for the edit.
I have substantial research experience accumulated throughout my university career. Undertaking several research projects for history and education refined my organisational and writing skills. My passion for conducting research has given me a keen eye for detail and the knowledge to engage and manage several research methodologies. During my MSc and MRes, I developed research questions and analysed the literature, allowing me to work independently and use my initiative. In addition, I conducted oral history interviews, which involved interacting with participants, generating questionnaires, adapting questions depending on the answers, and building a rapport with interviewees so they trusted me with their stories and were assured I would maintain confidentiality of the traumatic events they suffered. The MRes provided me with an overview of interdisciplinary work alongside improving my problem-solving ability.
