Hello,My name is Ben. I'm a video editor with over 9 years experience in the industry. I became freelance in 2019, having spent the previous 4 years as the Head of Post Production at Proudfoot, where I was responsible for editing all of the content produced by the company. Although comfortable editing all genres of video, I specialise in documentary; mainly short form but with experience cutting longer films too, most notably a half hour special for Nat Geo about The Rolex Awards for Enterprise.I am very familiar with working to client briefs, ensuring that the desired message is always front and centre. However my experience in broadcast factual and feature documentaries, has equipped me with the creative storytelling skills to allow me to help lead the development of ideas when clients need it, and the initiative to work alone to find solutions to creative problems. Throughout my career I have worked in many organisations on a wide variety of projects. I have learned to be a diligent and conscientious editor, to work as part of a team, and maintain a cool-head under high pressure and tight deadlines.I work on Premiere Pro and have my own laptop so I can easily work remotely.In my spare time I am a keen gardener, musician (playing the drums, guitar and piano), salsa dancer and a qualified skydiver.
