I'm crap at writing these.

Hello, I'm Ben. I'm a stand-up comedian and comedy writer based in Barcelona, but from the UK originally. 
I started writing comedy at a young age, just little jokes and stories to keep to myself. I just wanted to make my older brother laugh really. I got a job at Top Secret comedy club in 2019 (I was 25 at the time) as a barman, and being there really inspired me to give stand up a try.

I did the Comedy Virgins show a few times, did well, but the anxiety of it all was too much so I stopped. I moved to Barcelona with my girlfriend at the end of 2020, and surprisingly the English speaking comedy scene here is great, so in early 2022 I started to perform stand-up regularly. As I say, it's a fantastic scene here, a lot of good people are based here and tons of pros come through. I've performed consistantly for 2 years here, doing several shows each week, and I've had the pleasure of doing a little travelling doing comedy in Brighton, London, Lisbon, and Leicester.
As time has gone on I've also written live sketch shows, contributed material to other shows/comics, and currently in the middle of a few writing projects that I will hopefully be able to pitch about (let's see how that goes).

I'm still right at the beginning of everything. Don't use social media a lot because it scares the crap out of me. But I'm trying new things, and slowly trying to expand and start a career in all of this.
