Completing both a master’s and a first class degree in English language and literature has equipped me with excellent writing, research and organisational skills, for both literature and film, which I could best utilise in creative production.
During my time at university, I also wrote creative pieces as part of my course in addition to being a part of the Liverpool guild student media society; these endeavours further sustained my fascinations and ambitions within the field of media whilst continuing to facilitate a confident knowledge in current global affairs.
Furthermore, I have over five years of experience in hospitality work, primarily being a part of the bar staff at Anfield stadium for match-days and concerts. During this time, I have learned how to thrive in intense and high pressure environments, whilst also navigating and diffusing difficult social situations with customers. These experiences have allowed me to develop into an outgoing and confident individual, with strong social and interpersonal skills.
Regarding my personal interests, I have a passion for football; having played the sport throughout my life, representing school, county and university, I understand the importance of being hardworking, trustworthy and committed. As a result, I really enjoy operating as part of a team, and am able to work effectively with others towards meeting goals and targets. I also acted as treasurer for my university football club in my final year of study, where I enjoyed introducing fresh ideas, taking on new responsibilities and working with the committee to ensure everything ran smoothly.
A more recent hobby of the past two years has been salsa dancing; I have valued the excitement of trying something completely new, whilst becoming part of a unique and diverse community, one different to those of which I am normally familiar with.
