masters degree in Wildlife Filmmaking from UWE, Bristol in partnership with the BBC NHU, and
10 years of field experience of tracking wildlife across India, right from the Tiger landscapes, forests, deserts, coasts, to the Indian savannahs, and have a local network across all these regions. I have an in-depth understanding and practical knowledge of the different ecosystems and an understanding of animal behaviour - mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians. I’ve experience working with indigenous tribal communities living around the wildlife habitats across India, and can come up with multiple natural history, wildlife, conservation and community oriented story ideas. I’ve a passion and knowledge of arthropods, and
experience working with macro. I have skills to
research and develop stories for natural history and documentary programmes, experience working with scientists and forest rangers, can design attractive pitch decks with compelling written content. I can coordinate and setup international shoots, have experience of booking permits and co-ordinating with the forest departments in Indian Tiger Reserves. I also have camera skills and
on-field wildlife and people filming experience, long lens. I have experience of using lighting and can setup and run an interview in a studio-lit environment/on-location. I have
experience in editing and understand editing workflows, well versed with Premiere Pro. I’ve experience working as a logger - can use
Kyno Media Management and CatDV.
I recently
presented, self-directed, produced, researched, and filmed a short documentary about tracking the endangered Indian Grey Wolves while exploring their coexistence with a nomadic tribal community of shepherds in the savannahs of India.
