I really love what I do, it excites me. There is nothing better than taking a seed of an idea and growing it into something BIG. I know how to develop, build and shape award-winning projects and my forte sits with female-led health campaigns and ones that tackle health issues. For example the 'No Butts' campaign with the late great Dame Deborah James, raising awareness of bowel cancer to body positivity messaging and mental health awareness with the Mind Media award-winning 'Shine A Light' campaign.
I also developed and produced a 'tv first' and a special for Deaf Awareness Week with actress Rose Ayling-Ellis, which featured for the first time a live deaf studio audience and offered live captioning and BSL signers to make the show accessible. All the projects I undertake are supported by lead charities - like RNID and the Deaf Talent Collective for the above project - and key networks to make sure we're creating inclusive programming. This was even the case for our non-visible disability show, which had inclusivity and understanding at its heart.
But my work is also more than tv...as I now develop ideas with a multi platform 360 approach in mind. Whether that's strategies for social media campaigns, commercial partnerships and brand support, to business development and working alongside the sales teams to collaborate on getting our messaging in the advertising space to widen our audience reach.
I am a calm, collected and creative individual who has forged many successful working relationships and has a wide network across the business. I like to think outside the box and be ahead of the curve when it comes to spotting trends and creating new ideas. I'm a passionate storyteller and have extensive experience working within a film unit, in edit, on location and within a live studio environment and can manage teams in all those areas.
I’m also a Media Mentor, supporting the next generation in TV, and was selected as a Wonder Women Mentee for the 2023 cohort and offered 12 months of training and mentoring by the best in the business, making sure I never stop learning.
Film is also a big part of my life - from watching to covering events like the Cannes Film Festival - and I take pride in being a Bafta Member who has the honour of voting in the awards each year, even getting the chance to sit on their TV awards jury which has been a highlight for me.
