I am a highly motivated bilingual wildlife filmmaker, ecologist, and science communicator, fluent in Chinese and English, and fully eligible to work in the UK.

I hold a BSc in Ecology and an MPH in Environmental Health Sciences from Yale University, and last year I completed an MA in Wildlife Filmmaking at UWE in partnership with the BBC NHU. My academic and research background has focused on biodiversity conservation in agricultural systems.

While I have specialist expertise in China’s native species, my education and fieldwork across four continents have given me a broad, global perspective. Over the past two years, I have gained extensive experience in research and content creation in both the UK and China. I am adept at liaising with contributors, uncovering compelling stories, securing access, and coordinating international shoots. I also bring technical skills in camera operation and editing, with a particular passion for macro filming.

Most recently, I worked with the BBC Science Unit as a researcher on a co-produced wildlife series with China. My responsibilities extended well beyond the researcher role, encompassing many AP-level tasks across both production and post-production.

Alongside broadcast work, I have contributed to a range of science communication projects and independent wildlife films. My debut short, Immaculate, which tells the conservation story of the endangered Chinese immaculate treefrog, was shortlisted for the BAFTA Student Awards.
